So what’s he reading in the first two panels if the newspaper hasn’t shown up yet? A paperback novel that’s really large for its size?

I was thinking Arnold would have a cameo there.

By the time the newspaper arrived it was already prehistoric (yesterdays) news.

It’s a good thing they only get it delivered once a week!

Just go with it, I would not pick an argument with THAT delivery person.

I want to see the “paper BOY” who delivered that one.

Ziggy should be thankful for small favors: (1) he didn’t get hit in the head by it, as I think Fred Flintstone sometimes did; and (2) it’s in one piece (on at least one occasion, it shattered into about a dozen pieces, and Fred was heard to mutter, “Now the paper’s all mixed up.”)

That said, I hope Arnold the newsboy doesn’t plan to show up at Ziggy’s door to collect for it.

He’s reading yesterday’s newspaper before he wraps fish in it.

It was probably B.C. testing out his arm.

I always read yesterday’s newspaper today so that I’ll be ready for today’s news tomorrow.
