I think you’ll be ok with a “pinch” of salt. One grain seems too low. :)
There was a study a few years back that came to the conclusion that these new “boutique” dog foods were no better for dogs than the old dog foods. As a matter of fact the dogs that ate the more “traditional” dog foods lived longer.
Actually, I remember those commercials. Must have run until the early ’80’s or late ’70’s.
