That’s a bit of a drive. If I want to get back home before dark I go to Lockeford Meats and Sausage.

I LOVE finding stuff from home halfway across the country where I now live!

If all else fails, find an online source and have it shipped on a regular basis. That will last only so long when you find out how much it costs and is no long a special treat.

Personal bias: our locally produced Thompson’s sausage is the best, better than its nearby regional rival, Conecuh sausage. (If you’re thinking that sounds southern, you would be correct. And after twenty-some years, I sort of consider myself naturalized.)

Mmmm, sausage.

The only sausage I’m allowed to have is turkey sausage.

My recent similar food search was to find Ellenos’ Yogurt in the Portland area. Best yogurt I’ve ever tasted, made and found everywhere in the Seattle area, but scarce as hens teeth in the Portland, OR area, only 150ish miles away….go figure.

The Bay Area has Strauss Family dairy products.

When I go to South Carolina, I always get serval packages of Swaggerts Sausage Patties, to bring home with me. They are very good and I haven’t been able to find them, in New York.

Nothing beats the local meat. Errr… uh … well. Sausage ftw.
