Great job prospects do not involve college. Shortages in the trades will persist which puts upward pressure on wages. 6 figures is not hard at all for those with the requisite skills.
The problem with AI is that it will not understand the limits.
Take the movie “Saw” for example. I’ve never seen any of them, but you have, so you’ll understand.
Something BAD is about to happen to the person in the film. Something horrifying. The audience wants to, but does not want to see it. And the producers/directors know when to STOP, they know when to cut away. They know the limits of how far they can push it.
AI does not know these limits.
Now imagine this is a movie about a rape victim. A child molester. Imagine “Dexter”. Imagine them ALL without limits. Imagine an AI created porn movie.
I do not want to experience this type of “entertainment”.
Breen helps the GQP put another boogeyman out there and to blow fears way out of proportion. It distracts from what the far RWNJ’s want to do and are indeed are doing now. Example: look at what the governor of Iowa just signed into law about rolling back child labor laws. But that will not have anything to do with her children but will indeed hurt the lives of those of the poor and even middle class kids. Just yet 1 more attack in the War on the Poor
AI needs regulation but has been useful in medicine. It has aided reading diagnostic imaging and will most likely help in primary care, too. Still need humans to mange it and service it. Now, don’t get me started on spellcheck. That’s dumb as hell.
This has bought into the nonsense of how powerful AI is – a view that SELLERS of AI want you to believe.
The real enemy is not AI, which is still just systematized plagiarism in creative fields; the real enemy is – of course – corporations trying to pretend AI is as good as a human being and force down wages and respect again.
One of the key points in the Writers Guild of America battle is the use of AI. Studios want to “write” a script with AI, then use actual writers as “editors,” which would cost them far less, as the principal writer gets the largest fee (and the main credit and residuals, incidentally). They know full well that AI-written scripts are total crap and unfilmable, so the human “editors” would really just be completely writing the script but only getting paid a fraction. Writers were already underpaid, and they are trying to push them down that much more.
And the studios categorically refuse to negotiate on that one point at all. Instead, they want to hold “meetings” on the “future of technology,” which is nonsense.
A college education is no longer what it used to. You enter with a head full of mush. They graduate with.an even larger swelled head of mush, dumber they went in. Our left wing Woke universities have poisoned the minds of our future leader. A generation that blindly parrots a sick ideology. They are incapable of leading anyone except over a cliff. College has taught them how to destroy a nation, not build one.

Actual Ignorance is more dangerous than Artificial Intelligence. The former is in greater abundance, including in positions of power.

Oh no! The mind-killing robots are coming for us!
Will the GOP give robots the vote? Wait and see.

Put AIs in Congress. They couldn’t be more brain-dead than many of the ones there now and would have twice the personality and be much more reasonable
