Well in the actual book, he did indeed do something like that, at a much earlier age. In fact after reading it I was wishing for Pinocchio to get slapped down, and constantly.

And then he ran for Congress.

And so, the idea for the WWF Smackdown was inspired by Carlo Collodi in the nineteenth century. Brilliant.

In chapter 4 (there are total 36) Pinocchio smashes him with a mallet so he dies. But his ghost is back in chapter 13 giving him advice which of course he doesn’t follow.

at that age and in a wheelchair he can’t do what his conscience tells him not to anyway so who needs him
