This could be taken at least two way, the book she read was laying on an origami item, or it was a book about origami. Folding a piece of paper in a valley or mountain fold is about the right speed for Broomie. Yip yip yip yip yip
Reality show episode where you got paid by wagering how many swans can be folded in a short amount of time..sold himself short betting 200 when the crew he wagered on cleared 400.
There are many books on origami. I see them frequently in Michael’s. They are even themed. I’ve seen Star Wars, flowers, animals, etc. I have the original one I got in Japan when I was 7 or 8, plus one called “Fabrigami”, using doh! fabric. I made cranes – a very basic origami creation- stiffened with diluted Elmer’s glue. Made about 100 for my aunt & uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration. They also make nice tree ornaments.

Brava, Broomie! Well done. Keep it up and maybe some day you’ll be able to form one of those other paper things.
Hey! I can do that, too, Broomie; I can do origami!
