Mercifully, so far pickleball hasn’t really caught on here in Ecuador. Although there’s much chattering from newly arrived expats up in Gringolandia ( Cuenca ) about forming leagues, fortunately, in my little patch of paradise down Machala, we have better things to do with our time.
The lower is more accurate, but it is missing the “cornhole court” right next to it.
A TV station I like to keep on for noise and occasionally watch has had both the Spelling Bee and the WNBA on in the evenings the last few weeks (this is a new thing). If they add pickleball and cornhole, then I’ll know they are consciously trying to tank their ratings and go bankrupt.

When I see the push toward some kind of “National Pickleball League” (Tour?) … I see Harold Hill as the front man.

One side sees it as pro tennis and others see it as mega sized ping pong.

I have a coworker (50ish) in Halifax, NS who is part of a non-pro pickleball league.

When I tried to watch pickleball, that ball moved fast! The court is so small what older person has time to react?
And why is it called pickleball?
