Those birds haven’t had their morning cuppa Joe!

I bet that “Fly South!” is the bird equivalent to “Go to He**”

I actually heard this happen once. Through my open window, I heard one bird singing like the dawn was approaching. My clock said 4am. I was not happy. Neither were his fellow birds, either because after a minute, another said “SQUAWK” and the first bird went silent. It was pretty clearly “shut up!”

I have a mocking bird nest directly outside my bedroom window. They seem to think that dawn is around 3 am on most days :(

The early bird will get heckled but will get the early worms as well. Worth it little birdie.

Cub Scout camping trip with my son … Mocking birds (yes, plural!) kept us up all night. If I had brought my rifle, I’d have shot the little suckers. We did not stay for the second night.

Around here in Texas, it’s always the female cardinal that starts the choir at 0530!
