That we still call ourselves a republic — with our corrupt, disproportionate, gerrymandered, out-of-sync, legislatures [ and courts ] — is ludicrous.

The GQP will take on a cartoon mouse. It will take on Big Bird. It will take on various colors of candy. It will take on the Potatoheads. It will take on the characters in Dr. Suess stories. It will take on characters in children’s books.

I keep asking myself what the he!! is WRONG with Desantis. Does ha not have anything else to do or what? It makes me wonder what he’s trying to compensate for-he’s too egomaniacal to think it’s his lack of intelligence.

I’m of an age that I can remember watching Mickey Mouse Club on a TV that had a vertical hold knob to be adjusted periodically. As a child I wanted to go to Disney World so bad. I knew it would never happen but I still wished. In 2019 I got my wish and flew with my family to Orlando. In my mind I was there to take pictures and watch my grand sons have fun. I have to admit when I turned that corner and looked down that street at the castle a lot of my old guy cynicism flew away and the little kid I grew out of resurfaced and said WOW. K.M.A. Ron DeSantis.

The white booted whiny guy has a mouse by the tail and no clear way out. If he stops, MAGA will call him wimp. If he continues, the rest of us get to know just how shallow, mean and vengeful this guy can be.

Odd how on one hand the GOP claims to be pro big business and government hands off business and freedom of speech… on the other hand they want to use government offices to control big business if its executives or workers exercise their freedoms of speech…

You see, it’s not that the “elephant” is afraid of the “Mouse”, exactly – it’s just that it just hasn’t figured out a way to lie under oath in a court-of-law successfully, yet, without getting caught in those lies by the as-yet free press, but that day is coming, and once they have packed the judiciary successfully (another two or three terms in the White House and the senate ought to do it) then “Katie bar the door!”

Touché, Mr Danziger!

DeSantis is running his state of Florida just like the confederate governors did 1861-1865; as their own empire. DeSantis is the most dangerous man in this country, and is forcing all his authoritarian ideas, whims and revenge upon anyone he chooses. And, so far, getting away with it!

There was a movie from the late ’50’s called “the Mouse that Roared”—in this version the Mouse is not only roaring, it is kicking a$$.

Essentially everything DeSantis and the Florida GOP do violates The Constitution and also most state constitutions, except Florida.
