After graduation my oldest was interviewing. He got to the salary discussion and could read (upside down) the range from the documents on the manager’s desk. He asked for slightly more than the top of the range. They settled at the top.
Welp, if you have done your research then you have an idea of the range they will offer. Don’t forget things like vacation, sick leave and other things. And always start out high because HR;s job at this point is to get you onboard for nothing.
