It reminds me of the corporate money false equivalency. Sure, some Democrats do fall into the trap of hating the other side for the sake of hating the other side, but it’s not nearly as many as Republicans who live for ‘liberal tears’.
And the winners are.. the Oligarchs who fund both parties to keep the status quo and/or make the lives of the serfs more divisive and miserable. Meanwhile, their unrestrained greed strives to capture rest of the wealth in America.
These are more like topics for debate by a deliberative/collaborative team attempting to find the most agreeable resolution contrasted with the irrational/obstructive partisanship we’re currently experiencing.
Republicons (at least the current majority of them) hate liberal democrats on a visceral level. They see them as evil that must be destroyed.
Democrats hate what repubs do, say, and try to force down the majorities throat. But they still stupidly try to reach compromises with them, to govern WITH them rather than in spite of them and are always willing to reach out a hand despite the rights tendency to try to chop it off.
Neither party has a monopoly on stupidity but one side definitely leans more toward civilized rational behavior than the other.

I honestly don’t get all the liberals who tune in every day to Ted Rall only to get so irrationally angry about the comic every. single. day. it’s posted. When I read editorial comics I don’t agree with I simply stop reading them and find comics I do enjoy reading instead.

I fervently dislike many, many Republican policy positions and feel they are a big net negative for our society and people. If someone who is a Republican supports those policy positions, or whole heartedly supports Republican politicians who put forth those policy positions, how am I supposed to feel about that person? Ted implies I can only hate them. Can’t I just dislike them? Also, support of a lot of Republican policies, and their implications, say a whole lot more about a person than they are “just” a Republican. And it’s not complimentary.
