Since all of the networks view their news shows as entertainment, they promote the stories that will get them the highest ratings/ad dollars and either not or barely mention more newsworthy stories. All of the networks spin the news to favor certain viewpoints. Only Fox News not only lies, but justifies lying by saying it creates more revenue. Of course, no intelligent person gets more than a smidgen of their total news from television.

Lalo puts his finger on the problem of trying to have both capitalism and democracy.

Let us see a RICO investigation into Rupert and his spawn. Convict the SOB’s and send them 1/2 way back since Australia does not want them. They can swim the rest of the way or land on the massive islands of floating plastic & trash and feel right at home with the other rats

I have long maintained that fines as “punishment” for crimes are just “pay to play” for permission to commit crimes.

Well, the Dominion case was “civil”, not “criminal”, but if what they did — and are still doing — isn’t a crime on the books, it certainly should be.
