Here’s mine for your second course…
My mom grew up in a farming town in Iowa. She observed goats carefully. Her theory on the tin can trope was that they liked the glue and maybe the paper. When she was a navy nurse in WWII she once saw a sailor trying to feed a goat a tin can.
