We need to reinstate the draft: All children are to be drafted into the military at the age of four. Their chance to being shot is much lower. Gun violence has killed more than 9,800 in the US in 2023

Republicans, like their cult leader, Trump, have no intention of “solving” the problem – their latest bit of idiotic hyperbole is to suggest that unsecured doors are the cause – totally ignoring the just-released video of the Tennessee school having it door glass being shot out – so I guess, now, their solution will be to replace the doors with “bullet-proof” door glass at $30 to $50 thousand a pop.

The number of public schools is 98,469 as of 2020 – the number of private schools that same year was 30,492. Total is a tiny bit less than 129,000…

Total cost for hardening our schools by replacing the doors – somewhere around north of $6,000,000,000,000 dollars – and most school systems can’t even afford adequate school supplies for the students they have NOW…

Total cost of getting 535 politicians to quit sitting on their rears and doing something, while basically incalculable, would probably be somewhat LESS than that above figure…

Of course, if most are like that Tennessee congressman, GOP Rep. Tim Burchett, and really have no clue about how to fix the “problem”, then the obvious first step is to replace republicans with democrats, who DO have an idea of how to fix the problem…

The pertinent facts are pretty well known, DC. A weapon that no private citizen should be allowed to own was once again used to slaughter innocent people.
