The REAL problem is that neither party has done anything to address the epidemic of gun violence. The REAL difference is that Republicans are unashamed about not caring and taking money from groups like the NRA to not care.
At least the Democrats give gun reform lip service.
For what it’s worth, those supposed Christians on the right who love their guns so much are what are more properly called heretics. They embrace precisely what Jesus said not to embrace and reject precisely what Jesus embraced.
If we truly were all against gun violence we would boycott the advertisers and the TV networks that continue to promote and glorify gun-violent programs.
We don’t need Russian tanks invading the US. We already have so-called “leaders” gunning down innocents. Each and every one of their fingers is on the triggers of every mass murder.
If they’ve got family photos with everybody holding a gun…………..and their only reason to be in government is to take a wrecking ball to it. Why are you voting for these people again?
Let’s put Banning Assault weapons on the ballot. You know a Republican won’t allow that. They tried the abortion in Kansas and it didn’t work and even then after it didn’t work the REPUBLICANS of Kansas IS STILL TRYING TO BAN ABORTIONS.
Oshrunner 20 quoted Berger…. I’ll go further. Antonin Scalia… not exactly liberal…made it clear in DC v. Heller that the government CAN regulate weapons and the possession of weapons. “Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited…”. It is “…not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.”
“Nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.”
The law… as interpreted by the Supremes… is already there. And clear. Now all we need to do is get the NRA out of control and act!
We will not give up guns so we can protect our loved ones. How about Prayer in Schools, cause look how things have progressed the last thirty years with out it, the Argument that something happen at the same time isn’t proof cause loses it luster after time.

One Tennessee politician has admitted that there is no solution to preventing future mass killings. The modern Pandora’s box.

An idiotic either-or choice especially if it is supposed to be democrat vs GOP. Anyone that suggestible should not be allowed to vote.

“Thoughts and Prayers” will solve this problem. Eventually. You know, like the trickle-down economic model; you just have to give it enough time. /s

With all the attacks on guns and the people who own them, it’s time for thoughts and prayers for guns and the people who own them.

While we’re discussing gun control, can we also discuss how we can better address mental illness?
