If the provider cannot regulate themselves, they deserve regulation. Can they regulate wanna-be cartoonists?

Go into Home Depot or Lowes and try to find an incandescent light bulb. There are some that are for chandeliers or special lights. All light bulbs are now led, and a few can be found that are florescence. led bulbs say they are dimmable but most likely wont work on the dimmer switch that you used for the incandescent bulb. Amazon still sells incandescent bulbs.

No " Regulations on Train Controls" to rail against????

Maybe you would like to complain about the Child Labor Laws that we seem to not enforce.

I’m stunned. Utter brilliance once more, Henry! Down with oppressive speed limits! Down with child molestation laws! Get rid of statutes that restrict our use of guns, recoilless rifles, mustard gas, grenade launchers, surplus and fully armed jets (I can fly an F4E and would like to start a “air-strikes-for-hire” business), health standards, deceptive advertising, interest rate restrictions, and equal rights! Most of all, DOWN WITH CRITICAL THINKING — that annoying skill that is conspicuously absent from your work.

Regulations do not hurt the honest investor, bank, or business. But, on the other hand, the shady ones that cut corners are hampered when someone dares to question their strategy.

It is the same thing in construction. The honest contractor does not mind pulling a permit and getting his work inspected; the bad ones, do.

Yes, it’s a better idea for people who are motivated entirely by greed to have lots of power and no rules.

Anyone that does not like safety, in your finance institutions, automobiles, appliances etc., then deregulation of everything all the time is just the philosophy for you. No protections or assurances. No comfort in knowing you are protected from greed, ever, anytime, then deregulation of everything all the time is your ticket to happiness. Good luck!

“About 80% of US households have a clothes dryer, and of those, about 80% utilize an electric clothes dryer. The first ENERGY STAR specification for clothes dryers took effect in 2015. Clothes dryers meeting the ENERGY STAR specification use 20% less energy than dryers just meeting the minimum standards and typically employ improved automatic termination sensors to avoid wasted energy from over-drying clothes.” – Appliance Standards Awareness Project.

Our old dryer worked like a champ. Unfortunately it finally died after a long, dependable life. Our new dryer is 4 years old and has all the regulatory energy saver stuff on it per above. Problem is it doesn’t dry clothes well. After a full cycle the clothes are still damp, so we have to run at least another half cycle. Some energy savings that is.

That is the problem with regulating everything. The so called experts are often less qualified than the manufactures, inventors, workers and users of products. Look at gas stoves, around for a Century and a Half, now we got to get rid of them in like two weeks. Think.

The anti US regulation trolls are thick here today. Guess it must not work in their country like it does in the USA. We protect our citizens and strive to become more efficient every day, at least the real patriots do.
