Please leave but not one more penny from the Blue states. You’ll be on your own and maybe Mexico can help you out since they’ll be far wealthier than the poor Red states
How do we determine a red state vs a blue state? Is it which party the governor is in? Take for instance Virginia. We go back and forth with our one term Governor. We’re Republican (red state) now but had a Democrat (blue state) last term. Do we move back and forth between the “countries?” Or do we also have a purple country?
How about we try and solve the issues instead of walling ourselves off from each other?
As I wrote elsewhere, While red, white and blue are our Nation’s colors since our beginnings, we fought the redcoats for our independence. conservative Tories supported them dressed in red, Patriots dressed in blue. The conservative Confederacy’s flag was on a background of red, U.S. soldiers were dressed in blue. Nazi Germany’s flag was on a background of red and red was their overwhelming color. The Soviet Union took red even further in their name. Throughout history red was taken by enemies of the U.S., blue by those who defended, fought for, bled and died for the United States of America. And so it continues.
What we have here is another case of a bully saying, “hold me back…”
She has no idea of how her or any OTHER “red” state would function if they were to be cut from the federal “teat”, but they realize that it would never happen, anyway, and it makes her constituents feel better “cause” most of them have no idea how much the federal coffers support their states…
And like the cartoon points out, they want the “freedom”, but they ALSO want “daddy” to keep supporting them with an “allowance”, which is basically what an “alimony” payment is…
For my part, I think it’s about time for the former Confederacy to pay reparations for the war they started in 1861! – after that’s paid – THEN we can discuss cutting them loose…
Red States would collapse economically without Blue States. Let them all go solo and see how long they last. I don’t give them 3 years before they go broke.

Hers are the words and ideas of a traitor, not of a patriot.

Why aren’t there minimum requirements for members of congress? Most other jobs have them.

Aren’t we paying the alimony already, only without the divorce?

Not any worse than reparations for people who were never slaves from people who never owned slaves

Let them go but without alimony.
