Every team will run a QB sneak. The discussion is about offensive players pushing other offensive players.

Would never work. Kickers actually care about their bodies.

I wonder if it’s just psychological intimidation at play when the Eagles line up and the opposing team know the QB sneak is coming. I wonder if they somehow resign themselves to the belief the Eagles can’t be stopped.

Sheesh. Football is getting so convoluted.

How about just require that the offensive linemen actually have to come to “set” instead of rolling into the play with momentum?

Why not let defenses try and figure it out? All these rules are getting silly.

Let’s take it one step further. Let’s make it a rule that every time a team develops a successful innovation, it has to be made illegal.

Here’s why it works: it’s a proven successful strategy, and the Eagles have the players in the execution to make it work.

Sigh, no one is trying to make QB sneaks illegal. It is the dangerous practice of slamming into the runner from behind. This play had been illegal for most of football’s history. Simple enforcement of the rule is to call the play dead (no penalty) when an other offensive player pushes against a ball carrier (similar to being down by contact).

Some of these comments seem to think only the Eagles do this. Almost all teams do even Mr. Wonderful TB12 often has used the tactic, usually successfully. KC is a little cautious about it, because Mahomes hurt his knee a couple seasons ago on a sneak.

Are these the same guys who just rewrote baseball’s rules?
