Sue them into submission. It’s clear that we can’t get anything resembling sane behavior from our “representatives” in DC.

None. 5 million NRA members and not one has committed a mass shooting. On the other hand, if you eliminated Democrat voters, gun crime would drop by 90 percent.

Where’s the outrage over the fact that the shooter had felony gun charges dropped – and then as a non-felon was able to get more guns. All thanks to a Soros backed woke DA.

    But yeah. Blame the guns.

And yet the NRA won’t let it’s members bring weapons to their conferences and such. Go figure.

I do not blame the NRA for any individual’s act. (To me, spineless, cowardly legislative poltroons get most of the blame.) I do blame the NRA for evolving from an institution that worked for gun control to the money grubbing, legislation blocking group they are today. I also blame them for not respecting their own members wishes. Creating an atmosphere where fearing your fellow humans is your business model is just sick.

I have no qualms with individuals owning guns, the vast majority handle with care. But, to say “we can’t do ANYTHING to minimize the carnage”, is a deadly defeatism in the extreme.

The GOP’s gutting of mental health services is a root cause here. Started in the 80s. They want us to focus on guns. Those horses have left the barn. Support community mental health services. Background checks on ammo, please.

Once again, this shooter used a pistol, but tell me how evil “assault weapons” are. You are 20x more likely to be murdered by someone with a handgun than by someone with a rifle. That’s a simple fact borne out by 60 years of violent crime stats.

One final note: if America’s current homicide rate were equal to the deadliest year on record (1981), there would be roughly 36,785 homicides in one year.

When will congress become human? Lobbists bribing politicians, for a vote in their favor, are destroying America!

This is why NOTHING changes…price on meds, deadly chemicals, tax evasion from big Corps, and NRA with their staunch stand on not changing weapons laws for more safety.

America is worse than a third world country, not even THEY have as many killings…schools, colleges, corruption.

A demented body of greedy, empty suits running We the peoples lives…to suit their agendas!

The big problem is that we have a crazy quilt of local/state gun regulations. It’s useless to restrict gun ownership in Illinois if Indiana has lax gun laws where thugs and gun nuts can simply drive to and carry them back to Illinois. What this country needs are uniform national gun laws.

Good luck with that as long as the NRA is in charge.

After Sandy Hook, Parkland and Uvalde. If nothing was done then, nothing will be done now. To me, i think the NRA is telling America, might as well get used to it cause nothing’s going to change! And so far they’ve been right!

Seems like we are concentrating on firearm fatalities here. 2021 death stats: Fire arms(murder) 11K; Drug ODs 115K; traffic fatalities 43K. Not making light of the firearm problem, just putting it in the overall tragedies our country deals with. Do your own info, investigation.
