Yep. The country is pretty much of a jumble. Though not quite like Bennett portrays it: We all know where “red country” is and where it’s a lot more liberal.

Is this real jigsaw pieces?

Tell me again the advantage of an incoherent mutually-exclusive vengeful uncompromising winner-take-all opposing party system for efficiently/effectively/sensibly/intelligently governing a country to deliver peace, prosperity, and equal justice to all its citizens.

The snot nosed brats need to be reminded that it is, “run the country”, not, “ruin the country”

The new confederates do not want a union. They especially do not want a democracy.

There isn’t much interest on the far right in working toward a union.

Interesting. I have heard talk of secession, that we would split into two red and blue nations. The illustration here shows why that wouldn’t work… as the states on each side are far from contiguous.

So, who is going to be the first Republican to complain about not being allowed to bring an AR-15 onto the house floor during the SOTU?

The reds would rather have the pieces scattered all over the place

You know, the state of our union is almost always a messed up puzzle, except when we’re at war. If we can convince folks that we are at war with poverty, say, or fascism and focus our attention on one great evil, then we might become a united nation. But, alas, these great domestic issues drag us into arguments over what is that one thing to focus our attention on. And hence the mess-up nation rears its ugly head.

The Republicans use to be a party of philosophies and ideals different from the Democrats. Now they are just a cult of extream, anti American, conspiracy theory loving ultra maga far right wing racists that embrace chaos and delusion.

Hate to tell you, but the real pieces don’t fit together NEARLY that well!

The problem with this cartoon is, is that according to the puzzle pieces, this is situation normal, or SNAFU>

If this is the case (and I agree that it is), the puzzle pieces shouldn’t fit together so nicely.

They took the metal detectors out of the capital building. Come see the State of the Union address…………It’ll be wild.

At least this “State of The Union” is assembled. Even if some pieces are no in their correct places at least they do fit together to make a whole. Much better than chaos we would be suffering if insurrectionists had successfully overturned the election…
