I think when people hear “classified” the connotation for most is that it is really, really, really important and key to the continental security of the USA. I suspect that most are mundane and are classified (I know there are levels of classification-I speak of the “lowest” level) out of a belief that “everything I touch must be important” and/or “we do it because we can do it”.

Even in Egypt, the Pharaohs took their classified runes to the pyramids with them.
