Exactly, put the blame where it belongs on those who think having too much fire power in the hands of morons is a good thing.

Saturday night: Mass Lunar New Year shooting in Monterey Park, California — 11 dead

Monday morning: Mass school shooting in Des Moines, Iowa — 2 dead

Monday evening: Mass Lunar New Year shooting in Half Moon, California — 7 dead

Twenty more mass-casualty deaths in less than 48 hours.

How much blood has to be offered up on the blood-stained altar of NRA gun lobby profits until the lust for death is satisfied?

The First Amendment has no restrictive wording or qualifying language at all, yet we accept limitations on speech such as to prohibit libel, slander, defamation, false advertising, perjury, incitement to violence or insurrection, yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

The Second Amendment, a single sentence of 27 words, DOES include restrictive language, specifying a particular purpose (a well-regulated militia, a right of states to have their own state forces, now known as National Guard units, as explained by Alexander Hamilton in Federalist #29) and with the restriction of being “well regulated.”

In defending limits on speech, despite the lack of restrictive wording in the First Amendment, Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote that “the Constitution is not a suicide pact.”

Apparently, he has now been overruled by the NRA and its puppets on today’s court that have, indeed, decide that the Constitution does mandate mass murder and suicide by unrestricted access to firearms far beyond what the “intent of the Founders” could have possibly conceived.

Some men are excited by the smell of burning powder, but I thought in my dream last night how much saner to be excited by the smell of new bread.

Best illustration of the insanity that is rampant in our nation and that almost no one is doing anything about because this is why the GQP does almost nothing other than obstruct what is good for the nation as a whole and not just for the super rich and industries. And that folks is pretty much the very definition of the word “fascism”

This is totally disgusting….GOP’s priorities are money over human life‼️‼️

They are greedy, inhuman robots who think of nothing but themselves!

When will people realize this? It’s crimes against humanity…..but if one of their own gets killed, we’ll see a change…just MAYBE‼️ after all, the money comes first….

I guess their mantra that it takes someone with a gun to stop someone with a gun was again proven wrong.

‘Not going to end well’: GOP slammed for putting the country on the path to more violence

In a blistering editorial from the editors of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Republican Party is taken to task for putting a stop of Donald Trump-style grievances and attacks on the government that continues to inflame far-right conservatives who are increasingly turning to violence. Citing two recent examples of extremists who have launched attacks that go far beyond verbal, the editors warned the GOP that their looking the other way will only ramp up more violence.

I wonder what would happen if a gunman opened fired in the NRA headquarters? Well at least they would have plenty of tape to rope off their own crime scene!

I know I have said here on this site (and elsewhere) that violent crime is a state/municipal issue and Congress can only do so much. But Congress needs to pass a uniform national gun control law instead of laws being nonexistent in ruby red states like FL. They also need to bring back the assault weapons ban, close the gun show loophole, and ensure that abusive and mentally disturbed individuals don’t have access to guns. I know, sadly, that evil does find a way. But assault weapons are what’s driving this epidemic of mass shootings, that and disturbed “dead end” individuals who have concluded that infamy is better than anonymity.
