I’ve never understood channel surfing. I turn on the TV only if and when there’s something I’m interested in watching. When it’s over, I turn it off. Different strokes.
If I can’t find anything worth turning off in TV, I look for a book to throw across the room. Twentieth century author, poet, and critic Dorothy parker put it best: “This is not a book to be tossed aside lightly. It should be hurled with great force!”

Pink Floyd sang about having “13 channels of $#!+ on the TV to choose from.” We have hundreds of channels today. Not much has changed!
