The folks driving the push back against using gas for cooking likely don’t cook at all, or much. And they don’t give a Q-anon’s proof about what fuel is used: They’re only interested in raising a ruckus.
More of the lies from the corporate conservative fear mongering machine.
• There is no federal proposal to restrict gas stoves, oven or cooking of any kind.
• There is no statewide proposal in any state to restrict gas stoves, oven or cooking of any kind.
• There are proposals in some CITIES at the local level to prohibit NEW installations of gas stoves, ovens or cooking equipment, but these apply only to NEW installations. There are no proposals to take away any existing gas stoves, ovens or cooking equipment.
So why do conservatives and their hired media promote such scare tactic lies?
Because there is nothing scary, and therefore nothing to oppose, in what the actual facts are. They know that the truth is not their friend.
Last week fox “news” did segment after segment claiming that gas stoves were being banned and 87,000 armed IRS agents were coming to YOUR KITCHEN to take yours away!!!
And almost all the right wing cartoonists followed suit!!!
.
They would never LIE about anything like that. Would they?
Well, the MAGAS are still upset the country didn’t rally behind the Trump’s toilet issue, so the best thing they can come up with right now is the kitchen stove.
I’ve been considering replacing my gas stove and I’ll use the REAL information that has been provided to make an informed decision about what kind to buy. There are informative articles comparing gas, electric and induction pros and cons.
There isn’t ANYONE, ANYWHERE in the U.S. that would force someone in my situation to avoid gas because I am not building a new house or making major renovations. Just more fear-mongering to distract from the horror show from the House Repubs.
Federal officials and the White House have repeatedly quashed the possibility of a ban. The commission is planning a public-input session on hazards associated with gas-stove emissions as it looks “for ways to reduce related indoor air quality hazards,” CPSC Chair Alexander Hoehn-Saric said this week in a statement.
“But to be clear, I am not looking to ban gas stoves, and the CPSC has no proceeding to do so,” he wrote.

All the fear from the left is not about saving the planet. It’s all about control and power.

More silly and stupid BS from the far right. No one is taking away our gas stoves.

Don’t have a gas stove so it doesn’t matter. Take away my propane grill, guess I’ll change to wood and charcoal. What will we have gained here?

The talk about phasing out gas stoves is more about them causing health problems than climate change.
Oddly enough, most red states already have more houses using electric stoves than gas. In Florida, 92% of homes have electric stoves.
