First it was the ICE vehicles and now gas stoves.. Expect my gas operated furnace will be next. Those Go Green along with Everything Electric lobbyists are buying a lot of expensive lunches for our elected leaders.
I don’t think abortion should be abolished, but killing a viable life should not be a reproductive right. My state has gone too far thanks to the GOP. I think abortions should be legal halfway through the second trimester with very few exceptions. Not being able to decide by then is irresponsible.
I don’t know why anyone, given a choice between gas and electric stoves would choose gas. Gas stoves are more expensive, more complex, and more failure prone — let alone the increased hazards from indoor air pollution and carbon monoxide emissions.
Cases in point: I just finished repair of a 5 year old Frigidaire range. Both igniters had failed. The OEM parts cost about $125 each (aftermarket parts are about 1/3 as costly), thus the pair being about 50% of the cost of a new range, apart from the labor to replace them. Igniter failures are probably the most common reason for trouble, too. At same time, I replaced a burner control on an electric range which cost $45 and required almost 10 minutes to replace.
Not all repairs to electric stoves are that easy or cheap, however. A couple of years ago I was confronted with the failure of the control board in an electric range, cost about $300. A couple minutes trouble shooting revealed that a relay had failed, it cost less than $10 and took about 15-20 minutes to replace. There are also 2 recent instances where I had to replace the lights in wall-mount microwaves. The cost of the OEM bulbs was about $20 each but LED’s are about $10/pair. One of the two required new sockets owing to heat damage to the poor quality OEM parts. Those cost $40 each but used ones were available on ebay for 1/3 that. In yet another case of a counter top MW, the keypad had failed. The OEM part cost about $50, but the only problem was oxidation of the keypad to display connector. Thirty seconds with a scotchbrite fixed that. Quite often the best diagnostic device is the one between a person’s ears — informed by a skinflint nature and an intense dislike of “parts changer” repair attitudes.
Amazing, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell says the term Pro-Life isn’t accurate. My guess is it’s because most conservatives support the Death Penalty. Least you forget, the unborn children haven’t done anything. Literally, you can say Pro-Abortion on MSNBC but you can’t say Pro-Life. And the left is so understanding.

Leave it to the QOP to equate climate change measures with them taking our rights over our own bodies.

If you have a gas stove, please use the exhaust fan while using. It emits carcinogenic gases while in use. The fan should take care of it.

Alabama AG threatens pharmacies filling prescriptions for abortion medications, and the people who use them.
Then, deadly tornadoes hit Alabama.
Coincidence? We don’t think so.

Non-political question, if I may: Does this concern over “gas stoves” include those fueled by propane, or just natural gas?

The idea of banning gas stoves was a silly suggestion floated by a single bureaucrat, and was quickly shot down by his associates. End of story.
