No joke – I got out of a speeding ticket by giving the young cop the mom stare. I was going to fight it and then just said eff it, I will pay the fine.
About a week later, I received a call from the police station saying that he filled out the ticket incorrectly, so the ticket was void and I got my money back.
I mom stared him into being so flustered that he messed up writing the ticket lol!
After being a mum for almost 40 years, I have that stare down pat! :-D
The trick is, when they stop talking and stare at you, say Nothing, (they expect you to start rambling) and stare angrily back. It works!
