I remember a plate of liver that I was served every meal for two days, until I finally tried it, when I was Carly’s age. And that was in the days before microwaves.
I HATE liver, it actually makes me gag. When Mom made it I always had to eat one bite. That is until one time after taking my bite, I threw up. She never made me take a bite again. Just can’t eat the stuff. I didn’t however have other food made for me. I just ate the other sides already prepared.
There was the dinner that Mom decided my sister and I had to try liver. We went to bed hungry, but survived and grew up okay. Sometimes you don’t have to try something to know you won’t like it.
Not a problem I had as a kid, I’d try anything in the way of food. And I knew if I didn’t like it, I better find something else on the table to eat because Ma wasn’t going to fix anything special. Seldom did I not like something though.
As for my kids, it was the same with the exception they were pickier eaters than me.

I agree, tie her up, and if that little manipulator is hungry, let her eat what she got for dinner.

I guess I missed something not being a parent. Why does Abby want to be Carly’s slave?
