It’s not like it was for those of us who grew up in and suffered through the ’60s and ’70s when if you missed a program, you missed it FOREVER unless you pored scrupulously over TV Guide every Sunday and finally managed to catch it in the summer rerun.
In Kansas, a seven-year-old can be left alone. In Illinois, they have to be 14. Most states have no specific age, and base it on the maturity of the child.
