looking at the political situation, sure you can call life a circus after all.

Agnes, the word you want is “implies”, not “infers”. There is a difference.

Agnes, go watch the movie “Freaks” from 1932. Most of the actors are real sideshow freaks. You’ll change your mind.

The number of things included in “political correctness” these days is just totally incorrect.

“The Enigma” (born Paul Lawrence) is an American sideshow performer, actor, and musician who has undergone extensive body modification, including horn implants, ear reshaping, multiple body piercings, and a full-body jigsaw-puzzle tattoo.

If you’ve seen the X-Files episode “Humbug” (about sideshow freaks, blockheads, geeks and gaffs), he appeared playing a character modeled on himself called “The Conundrum.” At that time (1995) he didn’t yet have the horn implants, and his jigsaw tattooing wasn’t yet complete.
