Unless you’re a knuckle-dragging cave dweller, get your flu and covid shots!

Did you skip the vaccines? Stop wearing YOUR mask? Then you own the consequences, eh? (Also, don’t touch your face… the mask helps me with that) and do wash your hands.

Germs – the one thing we all share freely. Somehow tolerance and consideration never make it.

I do not have a choice. I have to get my shots. I live with a nurse. She is exposed to all kinds of pathogens all the time and brings whatever she comes in contact with home to me.

Besides, she can make me sleep on the couch.

In the early pandemic when we knew little about how Covid was spread, I would help her undress in the garage, toss the clothing in a quarantine pile to sit for a week and then escort her to the shower. I used the same protocols I learned in the military on how to deal with an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) environment.

Now she’s content with washing her hands as soon as she gets home. I’ve seen her in action; she still “suits up” when dealing with patients.

‘The situation in the hospitals is grim’: States face brutal virus falloutNearly 30,000 people currently in the hospital have tested positive for Covid-19, up 30 percent since Thanksgiving.

State health officials are warning people that time is running out to get vaccinated before gathering with family over the holidays as Covid-19 cases surge nationwide alongside unseasonably severe waves of flu and respiratory syncytial virus.

I feel for those around the world that don’t have access to effective vaccines. I feel nothing for those with access to effective vaccines, but refuse to get them. Good on the antivaxxers for making the world a little smarter, one death at a time.

I get it now, squiggles was trying to portray himself as clinically brain dead maroon to increase the number of replies to his mind numbing thread. Sorry, you poor little hopeless child, I’m done playing your silly games; however:

    the disinfectant…

knocks it out in one minute…

do something like that by injection…

Were words put forth by a totally incompetent self-absorbed fool, that had no clue what so ever on how to actually deal effectively with the on-going—at that time, pandemic. Talk about the ultimate sad sack of excrement and he was presumably in charge as well? And now here slithers squiggy defending his total lack of scientific understandings of how things work in the real world. How very proud you must be of your ‘owning the other side’ while being devoid of any reasonable understanding of how dangerous 45 was. Happy happy, joy joy.

I grew up in the 50s. I remember when the polio vaccine was offered. Parents were overjoyed because those iron lungs were frightening to everyone. School children were vaccinated for smallpox, tb, polio, tetanus… probably other diseases as well. Again, our parents were thankful and so were we. I get every vaccine available when available. When penicillin was available, I was in elementary school. I remember we were kept at home if we received a shot or pill.

People forget how medical science has kept us alive and well. Dr Fauci is not prescient. Many diseases he worked on had never been seen before. Of course, he made mistakes. To those who threaten him, criticize him, want him investigated I ask, have you never been mistaken when trying something new? Have you always had the correct answers? I doubt it.
