Trump has wedged them between a rock and a hard place. Paying lip service to a constitution for political gain they are going to have to defend it from his wanting to dump it before they have seized power. Then it will be thrown out.

“So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential election results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

Mike, beyond drawing a cartoon – that you get paid to draw- what are you going to do about it? He has a LOT of your authoritarian tribe members backing him up. They’re going to vote for him in the primaries. He calls himself a victim and your tribe yells “ME TOO!” Any chance you’re going to actually stand up to him?

GOP silence on Trump’s call to axe Constitution reveals ‘full embrace of fascism’: House Dem

Repeating his thoroughly disproven lie that the 2020 election was stolen, former President Donald Trump called Saturday for discarding the U.S. Constitution to overturn his loss.

In response, pro-democracy advocates argued that Trump’s comments, other recent actions, and the refusal of GOP lawmakers to denounce them are reflective of the Republican Party’s growing support for right-wing authoritarianism.

Donald Trump called for his return to the White House the morning after Elon Musk’s Twitter exposé. The 45th president demanded to suspend the U.S. Constitution on his social media platform, Truth Social. Trump alleges, “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” Following Trump’s post, Twitter reacted quickly.

Joe Scarborough tweeted, “Donald Trump calls for ‘termination’ of U.S. Constitution. This man is preferred by most Republicans as their 2024 presidential choice.” Another user commented, “Just so we’re clear: Trump wants to suspend the Constitution so he can be reinstated to a job that requires him to uphold the Constitution.” Even the White House weighed in after Trump’s dramatic social posts.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates shared, “Attacking the Constitution and all it stands for is anathema to the soul of our nation and should be universally condemned. You cannot only love America when you win.”

Documents obtained by the outlet show that the then-candidate failed to disclose $19.8 million in debt to Daewoo, a South Korean company with a history of ties to North Korea.

“There is a chance that Trump’s omission may have been legal,” the report said, noting that Trump may have used a loophole in the law.

    (以下引用)

“Although officials have to list personal loans on their financial disclosures, the law does not require them to include loans to their companies, unless they are personally liable for the loans. The Trump Organization documents do not specify whether the former president, who owned 100% of the entities responsible for the debt, personally guaranteed the liability, leaving it unclear whether he broke the law or merely took advantage of a loophole.”

    (以上引用)

Forbes also pointed out that Trump may have hidden the debt because Daewoo, at one time, “was the only South Korean company permitted to operate a business inside [North Korea].”

The documents, which were disclosed after being obtained by New York Attorney General Letitia James, said that Trump quickly eliminated the debt after taking office.

“Daewoo was bought out of its position on July 5, 2017,” one document explained.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/revealed-trump-paid-off-secret-debt-to-north-korea-linked-company-while-in-office/ar-AA14TDdl?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=5a02154e08d14f52a46a0c1a2cf4e68d

Trump doesn’t pay Americans for services but he did pay off the North Korean dictator, they must really love each other.

The GOP ‘never would have come to this’ if they had dumped Trump: columnist

In her column for the Washington Post, political commentator Jennifer Rubin lectured Republicans that they only have themselves to blame for having to address Donald Trump’s call to “terminate” the Constitution because he failed to win re-election in 2020. On Saturday, the former president took to his Truth Social account to rant, once again, about his election loss.

While continuing to declare falsely that the 2020 election was rigged against him, Trump wrote that “Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”

Kirschner tweeted that, by calling for the Constitution to be terminated, Trump has “indisputably & beyond a reasonable doubt—proved his criminal intent.”

Expanding on these remarks on his YouTube channel, Kirschner suggested that Trump has “pretty much sealed the deal” with regards to proving his criminal intent for prosecutors investigating his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, as well as the former president’s actions around the January 6, 2021 riots at the Capitol.

Trump then added, “What I said was that when there is ‘MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION,’ as has been irrefutably proven in the 2020 Presidential Election, steps must be immediately taken to RIGHT THE WRONG. Only FOOLS would disagree with that and accept STOLEN ELECTIONS. MAGA!”

Not content with that, he continued in all-caps, “SIMPLY PUT, IF AN ELECTION IS IRREFUTABLY FRAUDULENT, IT SHOULD GO TO THE RIGHTFUL WINNER OR, AT A MINIMUM, BE REDONE. WHERE OPEN AND BLATANT FRAUD IS INVOLVED, THERE SHOULD BE NO TIME LIMIT FOR CHANGE!”

The lying leader of the republican party is a psychopath who is totally out of touch with reality.

In a federal courtroom in Tampa, the trial of Jeremy Brown — a self-described Oath Keepers member, lauded 20-year U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and recently defeated Republican legislative candidate — is set to begin Monday, 14 months after he was arrested and detained in jail in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Brown, 48, faces nine federal felony counts and one misdemeanor: Two counts related to unlawfully owning two guns, two counts of possessing explosives, five counts of illegally possessing national security documents and one misdemeanor count of knowingly storing explosive material illegally, according to court documents from the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa division.

Each of the nine felonies carry penalties of up to 10 years’ imprisonment, and the misdemeanor, up to one year.

Brown is one of about 900 people charged with crimes stemming from the Jan. 6 riot in the Capitol, an event described as an act of domestic terrorism by the FBI and considered by historians as one of the worst days ever for American democracy.

Nicolle Wallace: Trump is an ‘enemy of the Constitution’ after call to ‘terminate’ nation’s founding document

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace slammed Donald Trump as an “enemy of the Constitution” on Monday after the ex-president, over the weekend, called for the U.S. Constitution to be terminated. Trump demanded “the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” in light of his most recent – and false – claim the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

’It’s getting absurd’: Trump ripped for denying his own public call to abolish the Constitution

After former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to proclaim that the U.S. should “terminate” the Constitution, he followed up on Monday with a new rant denying that he had ever said any such thing — even though he did, publicly, for all to see. On CNN that afternoon, analyst Gloria Borger tore into him — and in to Republicans who could be demanding he be excluded from running for president, who are instead continuing to sit silent.
