He’s shell shocked.

Awww! He feels naked and afraid!

I frolic now and then when the mood strikes, but I haven’t cavorted in years.

There is a lot of that going around – unfortunately.

Not to be pedantic but … a turtle can’t actually disengage from it’s shell, as the shell is it’s spine.

I really can’t recommend frolicking in the wilderness, especially naked. Never mind how I know this.

Imagine trying to sleep with the wind blowing on your nethers.
