Too many companies are being pardoned for price gouging and poor planning.

Another topic that appears too complicated for Beckom to understand….

There is no food shortage. If you go to any supermarket they ate fully stocked and full of people. There is a Turkey shortage, but nobody blamed it on another country. It’s the bird flu – https://www.forbes.com/sites/brucelee/2022/11/20/thanksgiving-turkey-shortage-prices-up-20-with-avian-flu-inflation/?sh=6d84361215bd

There is a food shortage in the third world and it is caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But since that involves what you surely think of as “Sh*thole” countries, I find it hard to believe you would give a sh*t about that.

Keep lying, because that’s all you got. You guys are now in charge of the House. I’d love to see what you all have planned to fix all the problems you laid at the Democrat’s feet.

Right after Covid started, the shelves at grocery stores were empty because of panic buying.

The 2017 Trump / Repub tax cuts resulted in companies buying back stock, just like they said they would. Artificially low interest rates resulted in companies borrowing more and buying more stock – none invested in their employees or future health of their company. Debt and deficit ballooned by trillions. When the pandemic hit, their “just in time” model resulted in shortages.

And this is Biden’s fault because???

Ukraine produced 10-15% of the world supply of major grains like wheat and corn. Its ability to export grains has been crippled by Putin’s war. If Mike Beckom actually believes that supply changes of this magnitude cannot affect the U.S. In a global economy, he’s simply a wilfully ignorant buffoon.

Like all Trump Disciples, Beckom finds something else to weaponize and LIE about.

Really? Are we experiencing what Ethiopia, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia are? THEY are experiencing REAL famine, not some imaginary shortage designed to take a cheap political shot.

Perhaps high diesel prices are effecting trucking. The cost of fuel is effecting everything we rely on on a daily basis. Many truckers are cutting services due to high fuel costs. Thank you Joe!~

Cartoonist skips over the perversities of markets and wars, and just seeks to assign blame. To make a political point.

Does that include petroleum products? That was pretty handy to make the Democrats look bad.

The right is acknowledging that capitalism is failing in the effective distribution of resources and food insecurity is a real problem?

… a war in a country that supplies a significant proportion of the whole world’s supply of essential grains and oils, but yeah, I don’t want to think about how the world’s markets and supplies are tied together. that’s too complicated for me
