In medicine, it is usually defined as the recurrence of symptoms after a period of remission or quiescence, in which sense it can sometimes be synonymous with relapse. In a narrower sense, it can also be such a recurrence with higher severity than before the remission.
Could Trump, DeSantis, et al (all the other extremists) survive politically in a non-partisan USA that had common goals, shared/debated/discussed proposed solutions to issues, and worked together to implement them and achieve pragmatic results?
I’ve posted this same comment on another political toon. The Republicans have no interest in doing anything beyond a dog and pony show for the Fox cameras. We can expect nothing but nonsense from these seditionists, and our best hope is that they manage to keep the lights on. The damage they have openly claimed they plan to do could devastate the country for generations. Thank goodness the Democrats still hold the White House and Senate for al least the next two years and maybe that will mitigate some damage done by the Republicans.
