I’ll have to take your word on that. Never been there.

There is a Hershey, PA, where the chocolate company is located, is Mars part of this community?

Indeed. Imagine what could have been done with all these billions spent on these projects if they were spent to make this rotten place a better one and fixing just some barren lands

Well I suppose there is a vacuum of sorts, but it’s unclear whether the vacuum is in the journey, or at journey’s end.

I’ve been to Mars, Pennsylvania. I was surprised to see it mentioned in the comic. Interestingly, one thing I found out while in Mars is that the Mars candy bar is no longer available in the USA but is still available in Canada. At least, that’s what I was told when I asked a convenience store worker why they didn’t sell Mars bars in Mars.

Sounds as bad as Moscow, Idaho….you wonder what they were thinking back then when they named the counties!

I went through Mars on my way to Cooperstown. Don’t remember any vacuum, though. Except maybe in the straw of my Big Gulp.

Growing up (back in the ‘70s), every summer we would visit the relatives. Dad’s family is in western NY, between Rochester and Buffalo. Then we would drive down to see Mom’s family, in and around Pittsburgh. We’d end up going down I-79, but until they finished it, we had to get off at Mars and take the old color-coded beltway routes to get around Pittsburgh to the small town to the southwest where my uncle lives. Took us past exciting places like Sewickley and Coraopolis.

Did you know that the distance from the earth Ito the space station is less than from San Fransisco to LA? See yesterday’s Ripley
