Let’s be clear: The attempted assassination of Speaker Pelosi and the assault on her husband in their home is NOT a story about crime. It’s a story about how MAGA Republican extremism is inciting violence and harming our democracy.

MTG telling people that Pelosi was committing treason then telling the same people that the punishment for treason is death didn’t help. Her also claiming that democrats have already started the killings of conservatives. It’s going to be hard to stop the escalation when people like MTG see huge spikes in donations every time they are outrageous. Her job is essentially bomb thrower. Plus they have an entire media ecosystem that has monetized outrage because it keeps people watching.
