Leaves make the best mulch, enriching the ground they cover and insulating the bulbs beneath. I recently moved into a new house, that is surrounded by trees, so you would think the yard would be too. But, the winds are such that the leaves all land elsewhere. I had to go collect leaves from the woods behind the house to have enough to mulch with.

He loves leaf collecting where there is a sweat prize to eat.

Poor Kevin. He’s the only one in today’s ‘toon that didn’t get a line of dialogue from Richard!

Miss Bliss is being very generous and reinforcing the kids’ good job. Only cantankerous Alice complains meaninglessly!
