As a grocery store employee, I rarely give anyone else in my social circle an employee discount. Well, except my father when at the store’s gas station.

Tip your friend. It’s the right thing to do.

If Steve gives you free food, he’s stealing from his employer. And his employer gives him money, unlike his cheapskate friends.

Best friends don’t want to lose their job…

I never related to people who do worse things to their friends than they do to strangers. Something about feeling secure in forgiveness, I suppose.

Some of my kids have worked at fast food places. On occasion they would get me “free” food, but it was only free for me; the kids paid for it. (They were allowed to use their employee discounts to buy the food for me.)
