Republicans seem to want to have it both ways. They want to cut taxes on the wealthy and social programs for the middle and lower class; then, they complain that they are struggling without any help. They spend their money on frivolities, then complain they can’t afford necessities. Finally, they complain about being replaced when another social group does what they do better but does it better. That is the heart of capitalism; the better always supplants the inferior.
Democrats aren’t perfect, not by a long shot. But overall, they want everyone to succeed. They want you to vote, not prevent you from voting. They want a strong economy for everyone, not just tax cuts for the wealthy. They want women to make their own decisions about their bodies, not let religious zealots control their choices.
When you vote on November 8th, ask yourself which party wants to give you choices and opportunities and which party only wants to make you angry. Or even simpler…which leader got a bi-partisan infrastructure bill passed that is going to help everyone, and which leader didn’t?
My apologies for the repost, but this equally applicable to this cartoon. I was just reading about how fringe lunatics are going around and trying to threaten and intimidate people into voting for Republican candidates. That is illegal and these people should be arrested. And before you bleat about how this is a new issue, no it isn’t. It was occurring during the 2020 presidential election as well. But your silence on the issue, as well as Trump’s plausible treason, speaks volumes. Remember silence speaks tacit approval. And the lack of addressing these issues in your cartoons means you are complicit and condone the fascism, the racism, the misogyny, the ageism, the sexism, the pure selfishness, the insecurity, the gullibility, the voter intimidation, as well as the sheer ignorance, stupidity, and cognitive dissonance and laziness exhibited by the Republican Party and its proponents. The end result is a cartoon that is like looking at a drawing of Fox News. The economy is actually doing well. If you truly believe that inflation is a problem then you should be targeting corporations that are making record profits all the while keeping wages artificially depressed.
Mr. Goodwyn, as well as numerous RW pundits, show their ignorance of economics. Yes, there is high inflation and the GDP has been narrowly negative the past 2 quarters. But other economic indicators have been strong and the whole must be considered to assess the health of the U.S. economy.
Over the years I had the opportunity to use a few outhouses including what the boys scouts called their latrine on the lakes and mountains. The smell in some did not make you hang around for any longer time then it took to take care of tour business. Some scout camps had mosquitos so bad you got in and out in record time! Nothing like an a** to rile then blood suckers up!

Goodwyn, like all Trump Disciples celebrates inflation, especially high gas prices.
It assures that Trickle Down Economics is working just like it’s supposed to.
.
You’ll notice that Trump Disciples never, ever mention oil company profits.
