I would read a biography about the cat. I read about Pres Garfield in school and all I remember is he came after Washington.

Speaking of lessons, he should learned that one a long time ago, ask Mom.

He was one of several presidents who was in the Army, served in active duty and rose to the rank of general. He could write Latin with one hand and Greek with the other at the same time. He was the only sitting member of the House to be elected president. He was also shot and died within 7 months of his inauguration because the assassin was upset that Garfield promised to reform the civil service in the federal government by eliminating patronage and instituting examinations. He died because his doctors did not follow “First do no harm.” Poor guy died basically of sepsis.
