A disease will never disappear after the end of a pandemic.

He’s a politician. And, of course, we ARE acting like it’s over. I am, myself: Now that I’ve gotten the most recent “omicron” booster, I’m no longer wearing my mask except inside…

It will be largely over for those vaxxed and boosted, and keep up with that as needed. Everyone else, well, good luck with that, and you are welcome from those of us that aren’t afraid of a little ol’ vaccine.

That was about the only accurate thing the man said during the entire interview. And the covid-clingers lost it. You’ll never take my covid away from me! :D

Pandemic — a disease prevalent over a whole country or the world.

Covid no longer meets this definition, so President Biden, who was elected by a large majority, is correct. He also said the disesase is still a problem, also accurate.

He didn’t say Covid is gone, he said the pandemic was effectively over. We have means to test, prevent, and treat this bugger now. We are no longer facing the level of threat we were 3 years ago. Every year people get, and die from, the flu but no one calls it a pandemic. Covid has shifted into that kind of threat.

Biden could have said, “The Pandemic is still ongoing”, and those same Politicos would have jumped on him for spreading fear. Darned if you do, darned if you don’t.

For someone who has had the “COVID” several times.. an odd thing to tell the nation.

Well, yes, the President did say the PANDEMIC was over, but he didn’t say the endemic was over. We’ll still need to have booster shots for the foreseeable future much like the flu shots.

If the pandemic is over, why is Brandon ignoring the pleas for reinstatement of those who were fired for refusing the very immunizations that he now says were unnecessary? So “compassionate”, these professional limousine liberals.

It’s endemic for the vaccinated, but the pandemic continues for the unvaccinated.

The pandemic is over AND also we still have to deal with covid. I know the epidemiologists have a specific definition of “endemic” but most seem to agree we aren’t there yet.

If only he’d told Covid before he announced it to the rest of us…

There IS, after all a difference between a “pandemic” and an epidemic – Biden gets that while most of the Pundits don’t want to let go of the “P” word.

So the right always said there was no pandemic. Until Biden says the pandemic is over – then they say ‘no it’s not’.
