The Alt-Reich has chosen to weaponize the DOJ investigation into possible violations of the U.S. espionage act by Trump taking highly sensitive classified docs from the WH. The Repubs have chosen to ignore meaningful immigration reform even when they controlled both chambers of Congress. They have, to the best of their abilities, blocked measures which address economic and social injustices and contribute to crime.

I’m far more concerned with nuclear and human agents names and locations being sold to those hostile to the USA. We may never know in our lifetimes the human cost due to Orange Traitor’s not putting America first.

So, lessee now, inflation is an international problem, and is down in the USA, nearly zero two months in a row. Amazing how Democratic Party programs work, almost like having a PLAN means things can happen.

Gas price is way down. Most inflation now is from house prices. Oddly enough, people don’t buy a house every month. Just a clue for the wealthy Qubs here.

And things are moving in the right direction. That worked out well for Reagan in his second term too, if your memory is that deluded that you don’t remember the Reagan issues he could not get fixed at all in his first term. Nor in his second really, they hung on stubbornly until the S&L’s collapsed and (GASP) there was a tax INCREASE! (GASP)

Ah, yes, DOJ abuse, ROFLMAO! Yep, really abusive to recover top secret stolen documents. Yep, true abuse. We’ll see how everyone outside the insane tRump base feels about that in a couple months, won’t we? Since the election is all about tRump now. Crime epidemic – yeppers, if it would go up about 40% more it’d nearly be what it was during Reagan’s second term. Almost.

Border crisis – hmm, back to that old saw. Have you made up your mind yet as to whether or not Abbot is breaking the law there? If he’s bussing illegals then he’s illegally holding them when they’ve broking federal law, otherwise he’s bussing legal immigrants. Which is really not legal. Funny how that’s not playing well with anyone but the base again.

I almost get that feeling that y’all think the base isn’t going to turn out without tRump on the ticket. Wouldn’t that be a shame. NOT!

1) Border crisis? That’s on Congress. Both parties have had opportunities to alleviate the problem. Now, the GOP is just turning a human crisis into a political circus. How about they sit down and work out some legislation that addresses the concerns? I’m not going to hold my breath; there are voters to frighten, right?

2) Crime epidemic? Crime is up, in Red states and Blue states, in urban and rural areas compared to recent stats. Is crime up compared to 30 years ago? The GOP does not seem to be very interested in addressing root issues that lead to crime. We already imprison more people per capita than any other country. Doesn’t that suggest that “Lock ’em up” is NOT working? But, there are voters to frighten, right?

3) DoJ abuse? Why is the GOP (MAGA branch primarily) so concerned about an issue when the “abuse” when it’s about ONE individual? Is the argument that he and his minions are above the law? Is this the same group that (broadly) wants the same law enforcement to deal with the “crime epidemic”? Is there a similar concern for abuse? But, there are voters to frighten, right?

4) Inflation? Yes, it’s higher than it has been in decades. It’s worldwide and a function of the pandemic primarily, but also impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, higher wages and price gouging by companies. That said, the recent numbers seem to show a slowing of the growth of that inflation rate. We survived it in the 70s-80s and we will now. But, shhhh… don’t let that out: there are voters to frighten, right?

Really? Because the numbers don’t seem to indicate that the Democrats will be kicked out. They may lose Congress and the Senate, but it will be a razor thin margin if it happens.

BTW, when was the last time Republicans had veto proof majorities?

Inflation – International, and not the fault of the Federal government. It would be happening under anyone’s watch

Border Crisis – Yes, the number of migrants is higher than ever. I just don’t place this high on the priority list of problems when assessing who should be president. it matters, but other things matter much much more (like the environment, or abortion rights)

DOJ abuse – Nothing changed under the Democrats, the DOJ has the same level of authority and responsibility and accountability as it has in the past.

Crime Epidemic – Recent crime increases do not fit into any political narrative. Especially at a federal government level. I have no idea what Federal level regulations you think made this worse or could make it better.

All of the “problems” illustrated have GOP fingerprints and DNA on them. You don’t possibly think that wars, tariffs, and failure to deal with a pandemic have nothing to do with inflation. Or that a failed “war on drugs”, lack of affordable healthcare, excessive incarceration and racist policies have nothing to do with crime. How many AG’s and judges were appointed by TFG until he got what he wanted from the DOJ. People wouldn’t be fleeing Mexico and Central America if the GOP hadn’t supported right wing dictators.

DOJ Abuse? It’s been known to happen, indeed J. Edgar Hoover was a wicked man by any measure. And there have been many changes in the setup of the DOJ to [try to] prevent such a thing from happening again. But if Mr Kelley has in mind a properly executed search warrant to recover from a former president some government property dishonestly hidden and lied about, I have to think he is barking up the wrong tree.

And never mind the question of what The Great Pumpkin actually wanted with a cache of top-top-secret documents; or (ahem) what the meaning might be of all those empty “Confidential/Top Secret” file folders. Trumpy was a man of peculiar tastes, I grant, but a sweet tooth for empty file folders is not easy to figure out.
