As usual, all I can say after I read a MontanaBull comment is, “WTF?”.

A common misconception by the rightie tighties is that Dems are all a bunch of wimps, don’t own guns and would turn and run if you show them a gun. Let them think that. “Holy $&!#, they’re shooting back!?!”

“Raising the debt ceiling or not and having a shut down is always blamed on the party in power.”

Wrong again clueless. Amazing that you don’t get tired of being wrong. Repubs get blamed regardless of who is the party in power.

November 1995 shutdowns — Clinton — A 1995 ABC News poll had Republicans receiving the brunt of the blame with 46% of respondents compared to the 27% that blamed Clinton.

October 2013 shutdown — Obama —According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll conducted several months following the shutdown, 81% of Americans disapproved of the shutdown, 86% felt it had damaged the United States’ image in the world, and 53% held Republicans in Congress accountable for the shutdown.

December 2018 shutdown — tRump — Trump’s approval rating decreased during the shutdown. A majority of Americans opposed exploitation of the shutdown as a negotiating strategy and held Trump responsible for the shutdown: A CBS News poll found that 71% of Americans considered the border wall “not worth the shutdown” and a The Washington Post/ABC News poll found that 53% of Americans blamed Trump and Republicans for the shutdown, compared to 34% who blamed Democrats and 10% who blamed both parties.

“If the Fed had done its job properly, which it has not, the Stock Market would have been up 5000 to 10,000 additional points, and GDP would have been well over 4% instead of 3%…with almost no inflation. Quantitative tightening was a killer, should have done the exact opposite!”

    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 14, 2019 calling for ever more lower interest rates.

Huh? “It’s down to 1% of the purchasing power it started out with”. Over what time period? The buying power of any currency tends to diminish over time.

Are you referring to inflation? I’m thinking you have no clue about this subject matter.
