I’m so obsessive about putting the dishes in the dishwasher that I’ve been known to take my wife’s dish/silver/glass away before she’s done with it.

How about this then get off your lazy butt put them in the dishwasher and clean the kitchen

Hinting is bad communication

My dishwasher bought the farm a while back. Been hand washing.

In other words, you don’t want to do it.

Believe her, she won’t perceive any room for ambiguity in your answer, so think carefully before you do.

If I get a minute? Would I want to? I’ll take a minute and do that. You may want to think about a different way to ask me to do that for next time … if you want to, of course.

We’re hand washers in our house. Much more efficient and cleaner, imo.
