My daughter is 27, made-up her mind years ago, she did not want children. Took her years to find a doctor to fix her. She got the procedure done yesterday. I took her in and waited until she was released. Everything is going well, except she keeps removing the cone.
I asked her why she didn’t ask her mom to take her. Her mom doesn’t understand and said she would regret it later. My daughter said, “the only thing I would regret, is if I had a child”. I told her, “I understand, I’m still regretting it today”.
My ER Doctor daughter told me they offer Plan B to all rape victims coming through the ER. Drs of medicine, who are also scientists, describe that the Plan B pill works to ensure an egg does not get fertilized, therefore it is not an abortion of a never conceived embryo. That science does not prevent pro-life supporters to disavow the Plan B pill. There will always be opposing sides to every situation.
My understanding is that Plan B can also prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg. Does that make any difference?
Everybody splits the hairs according to their own biases. It has long seemed to me that “viability” is as good a dividing line as any, but reproductive medicine/technology is pushing that line further and further back.
Current reproductive medicine/technology is a Godsend for those who WANT to reproduce (but have difficulty), but the abortion question centers on those who DO NOT WANT TO REPRODUCE. The idea (explicit in the recent Roe decision) that abortion should be discouraged in order to ensure a supply of (white) babies for adoption is insanity.
As much as abortion is not “my cup of tea”, I certainly believe that what a woman does with her body is her choice and those decisions should be made with the consultation of medical professionals…. NOT POLITICIANS, CHURCHES, OR ANY PART OF THE GOVERNMENT.
Now extinct, JayAlexander, Jim2g, muddy usa, firebird gunner, opspecial, ultra ammosexual, sammy snyder, kat and alfred brown, that’s really not a good look.

Tax cuts for the rich, forced birth for the poor. Where only the rich can afford an education and most of us are one illness away from financial ruin.
