Food manufacturers aren’t in it to give you more food. They’re about profit. For instance punts in wine bottles. For instance large packaging around small amounts.
PS: Does it make you sad that “food manufacturers” is a thing?
Buy your own glass jars with straight sides and no ridges, fill them with your favorite homemade mayonnaise and hummus recipes, complain about the packaging of the ingredients.
I’m not sure what kind of container is referenced here. My hummus containers are all round plastic bowls. I can get every bit out with a spoon or my finger.Skinny-top products opened up a new opportunity for “spatulas to get every bit out of that skinny-top jar.” I own several of those. My complaint is the sealed pump-top packaging (usually for makeup and other cosmetic products) that not only disguises that the container is half-full, but also makes it nearly impossible to use all of the product.

Get some small silicone spatulas. I know them as “dog tongues” for a reason.

Skin lotion bottles. The straw connected to the pump doesn’t go to the bottom; you end up throwing a lot away.

Mr Gulden said that he made a good living off the mustard people ate, but he got rich from what they left in the jar.

Has anyone else noticed that she’s actually answering one of his nothing-to-do-with-the-topic-at-hand questions?

Why do they put ketchup in narrow-neck bottles when Newtonian fluids like that refuse to come out of them?
