If this arc is an accurate description of what Alzheimer’s does to people, it’s truly tragic.

But why does she trust this strange man instead of her sister?

I like how Joanie’s expression doesn’t change even a little upon learning this information.

Is it bad to want an Apple Air Tag Tracker for some people? I can see both sides of the argument about safety and privacy but I just don’t know. Would I want a tag on me? But if I didn’t remember the way home? Maybe ..it’s not so bad?

It was announced yesterday that trials of a new drug to lessen the effects of Alzheimer’s look promising. Let’s hope.

One of the newspapers that dropped a bunch of comics had a letter to the editor stating Get Fuzzy and Doonesbury had been added back and the person was happy. It’s less obvious with Get Fuzzy but those are reruns.

So many tragic stories. My family has lived through similar things. For the physical side of things, such as feeding tubes, ventilators, etc. I can’t emphasize ENOUGH how important it is to fill out Advance Directives (Living Will, etc.) You can choose exactly what care you do and don’t want and the time limits. For instance, I have chosen not to have a feeding tube, ventilator machine, etc. for more than 7 days. No lingering on as a vegetable for me! The forms are available at any hospital; you can fill them out yourself. (I went to a lawyer, but I had other things like a financial will and such to do at the same time0. The peace of mind those documents give me is priceless.

After reading every one of these comments, I feel so fortunate that neither of my late parents had Alzheimer’s, or any other form of dementia when they died, my father at 90 from cancer and my mother at 94 from old age. They both kept their wits about them and their memories up to the end. May I be so lucky. My condolences and sympathy to all the posters who were not as fortunate as I was.
