I think it is a fair question to ask if Cato Institute alumnus, Fox Apologist, Trump supporter and Discovery Board member John Malone helped give Stelter the pink slip while saying he wants CNN to return to where it started with “real” journalists. Slate offers an interesting view on the trajectory of CNN in what I regard as a fair and unbiased assessment of the rather “centrist”/non-progressive establishment loving news outlet which appears to be moving to even further right of center in its search for ratings and profits:
Lying traitor Fox entertainment is still happy to present anti American democracy propaganda in the aid of fascism and right wing dictatorship to it’s ignorant and racist base.
OTOH how about getting news by reading? TV news, no matter which station, is mostly advertising, with a bunch of people talking at you in between the ads. The film clips are generally uninformative: eg., lines of vials being filled with vaccine to illustrate every story about vaccines, or a shot of someone getting a shot of vaccine, (duh) and local emergencies decorated with film of police cars and flashing lights. I haven’t bothered with TV news for now close to a decade. I still feel as if I am well-informed.
CNN was once an amazing source for world news. Their performance during the 1991 Gulf War was groundbreaking. Being in downtown Baghdad on the first night brought War into American living rooms for the first time. Fast forward to today we have a crippled broke down has been network that is forth in a three horse race. Gut this mess and start over.
Cable News networks are mostly entertainment. All of them. It’s panels of debating pundits, bloviating anchors & “special reports” on the Kardashians, the Windsors & the Duggars. Occasionally, you get an Anthony Bourdain breaking the mold.

Chris Wallace is not a “crazy Republican,” and is a much more accomplished journalist than Brian Stelter.

HA!!! Ted thinks MSNBC is a liberal Democratic network.

“Liberal democratic” is a contradiction in terms now that the democrats are conservatives and the republicans are right-wing extremists.

Ted must be thrilled about Charlie Crist.

At least FoxNews is consistent with presenting the views of far right ideologues who lie without any concerns of ethics or morals. No hypocrisy there.
