So, the Wyoming delegation (all 1 Representative of it) will now be marginally more extremely right-wing.

So much for the Republican party falling to pieces. Wishful thinking.

Country mouse; city mouse. Remember the children’s story? The city mouse visits the country mouse but can’t stand the quiet, the early mornings, etc. The country mouse visits the city mouse but can’t stand the bustle and noise of the city, etc. Our country has a similar divide, not just country vs city, but coastal vs middle. Different ways of life; different ways of viewing issues; but the same belief that they are right and the others are wrong. People in the media and in Washington need to get a better understanding of this. It’s called self-interest.

Growing up in a rural community in the midwest (not WY), it seemed strange that the grownups around me would lambast the government for funding welfare programs that benefited people in cities (‘they need to get a job’) but would get really indignant if something threatened ‘the farm bill’. People would brag about their independence but they would wait until Medicare kicked in to get their knees or hips replaced. Regulations about what pesticides can be used, what processes and procedures need to be done to ensure safe, sanitary conditions were usually met with “I do that anyway. Don’t need the government telling me how to grow crops or raise cattle/hogs” — they take it as a personal insult, not as a way to ensure their livelihood.

There is a huge communication gap between the coasts and the middle of the country and any politician that fails to recognize that will not succeed. People on the coast, people in the big cities, define “US” as people just like themselves; people in the middle of the country — the part usually flown over — also define “US” as people like themselves. Everybody else is ‘them’.

When the Good People of Wyoming, and others like them, find out the truth, how they have been lied to, fear-peddled, misled, cheated and used, they will be very PO’d at the Republican Party.

I doubt it.

The RINO’s must be crying.

With 600,000 or so residents it is not hard to sling cow crap ala trump enough times to convince some folks.
