Hey, it’s Violet again! She obviously still lives in Charlie Brown’s neighborhood, though she is no longer shown hanging out with him. Later in the decade, she will be introduced to Spike and make a prominent appearance with Patty and Pig-Pen in a Sunday strip. Schulz used her fairly regularly in cameo appearances in the late 80s to mid 90s, too.
Does anyone have a yard full of leaves to rake, just now? My pecans are still green and beginning to fruit. Of course, this is in the south. No doubt Peanuts world is a bit further up north.
This rerun reminds me of a man’s account of visiting a restaurant to have breakfast. He wasn’t familiar with Southern cooking, and the waitress asked him if he would like to have grits. To which he replied, “I’ll have one.”

Beware, CB, Linus has a two-for-one deal out and Franklin is quoting by the acre. Watch out for Pig Pen, though. He’s jumping in everyone’s leaves.

With a rake of that size you’ll probably have to move quite a few leaves out of the way just to be able to rake one.

The part time jobs done by the children in the western world are looked down upon here in india. I think it builds character.

Reminds me of the Southerner who asked the Yankee if he wanted to taste some grits. The Yankee replied, “Yes, I’ll try one.”
